. we'll talk to peter king. take two. obama and gov mitt romney get for a rematch. the pressure is on both candidates to find an edge. >> i am uma. live from the nation's capt cament starts right now. uma pemmaraju. >> over the next few days, president obama and governor romney will get deep in the debate prep for tuesday. obama looks to make up for the last debate performance romney looks to build on his momentum. karl cameron is traveling with the romney campaign and has more. >> we are live on the romney press bus in central ohio on the way to fort smith where governor romney will have a rally in a while. early this morning, he was taking part in the debate prep and he spent time sparring with his shadow boxers rob portman who plays the role of president obama . paul ryan is campaigning in ohio. big crowd and was aggressively going after the president on china policy. foreign policy will be a big part of the last debate. today paul ryan going after the president for not cracking down on china for the alleged currency manipulation and unfair trade practices. let's listen. >> the

perhaps he can turn the tide. right now the momentum seems to be romney's favor. >> let's talk specifically about battleground states, wisconsin, pennsylvania, new hampshire and michigan were all leading in obama and now considered toss-ups. let's start with wisconsin. what is happening there? >> all those four states as you said were switched by real clear politics. in wisconsin that is where paul ryan is from, mitt romney's running mate. that is only a 2-point race in wisconsin. you have to remember, this is state where back in june there was recall election against scott walker. he won the race. he demoralized the democrats. a lot of activists were saying because president obama didn't come strong in favor of the democratic candidate, it demoralized a lot of democrats there. turnout could be very important. if the democratic turnout is not high, you might see mitt romney win that state. >> patti ann: meanwhile, florida where he is romney is enjoying a 2% advantage. we have david plouffe saying, we are going to get the senior citizens and hispanics. we are going to get florid

. so talking to carl cameron about how mitt romney and his folks are grooving to some country music stars, the president and his folks, they took a little bit more toward bruce springstein. he's been out there for the president. they'll use him again to turn out his side. a little more rock. >> eric: the boss and the commander in chief together. ed, before you go, it will be a different format on tuesday, kind of that town hall. any sense on how they're trying to get the president to step up his game so he avoids what happened the last time? >> i talked to some of the president's senior advisors. they know this is a balancing act. while they want to see the president show more passion, really go after mitt romney on bain capital and other issues which he didn't do the first time around, you're right. he's got to be careful in a town hall format where you don't just have a moderator, but you'll get questions from real voters. some of those will be undecided. and if you look like you're too aggressive, too negative, that could blow up in your face. it's a very delicate balancing act.
